Meet Elder Rodolfo Peterkin
In an age of the politically correct mandate to justify immoral behavior, disregard of standards, and apathy toward the Word of God there is a passionate, fiery voice destined to globally ignite the change of hearts toward God. That voice is Evangelist Rodolfo Peterkin, whose steps God providentially guided from Costa Rica to the United States in 1972.
Evangelist Peterkin’s dynamic voice rings across the stage of our time with the undiluted truth of God’s word. His stirring words echo his love for the lost and convey the power of the gospel with tremendous insight and practical applications. His message resounds with hope that the “power of the seed” planted by God in the life of every human being can lead each one to make the “great exchange” from a life of sin to a life of victory.
It was the compelling power of this seed in his life that led him to fully accept God’s call while enlisted in the United States Army in 1979. Since that time he has ministered in whatever capacity God places him. His ministry has extended from serving as an Assistant Minister in the Post Chapel, evangelizing on the streets of New York City, to serving as a Pastor. Regardless of his area of service, his heart throbs with the yearning to reach the world for Christ.

This yearning demonstrates itself as he conducts tent crusades and preaches the gospel both nationally and internationally, seeing souls saved, healed and delivered both physically, mentally and spiritually, thus fulfilling the theme of his ministry, as expressed in the biblical passage, “ The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord. Make straight in the desert, a highway for our God” Isaiah 40:3. Not only has he witnessed this power while ministering to others, he rejoices over a miraculous restoration for his family, after they lost everything in a devastating fire and over the healing of his wife from lupus after 19 years and a diagnosis of imminent death. He is recognized among his peers and superiors as a gifted preacher and teacher.
Evangelist Peterkin received training from Rhema Bible College in Tulsa Oklahoma and from gifted teachers of our time. He received his ministerial ordination at The Living Word Church in Leesville, Louisiana, Gary McGough, Pastor, and at Born Again Church, Nashville, Tennessee, Horace Hockett, Pastor. Evangelist Peterkin currently serves as the Director of Christian Education and Outreach at Born Again Church and Christian Outreach Ministries. Evangelist Peterkin and his wife, Arlene reside in Nashville, Tennessee. They have six children: Anthony, Jeffrey, Jeremiah, Elisa, Faith and Grace.
Rodolfo Peterkin Ministries, Inc., seeks to save the lost, heal the sick, deliver the captive and educate the body of Christ to become equipped to win the world for Jesus Christ.
"My Testimony" by Arlene Peterkin
“I was determined to not give up hope…regardless of the daily constant pain of a disease I would never wish on my worst enemy.” -- Sis. Arlene Peterkin.
How can an evangelist continue to speak of healing when the love of his life suffers multiple nights and
days of a debilitating disease called lupus along with rheumatoid arthritis? Because of his faith in God fulfilling His promise and His Word, “I had fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord and be of good courage…” Psalms 27:13-14a. Although it was years before the manifestation of God’s awesome hand easing away all traces of the disease pain of lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, this courageous duo can humbly say that “The Almighty is a God of His Word.”
“I would witness so many people receiving their deliverance year after year. I truly trust God, but it was hard. It was like my healing was right at my finger tips…just a simple touch away. Yet, no touch…no healing…no relief. It’s not like I felt like I did something wrong at sometime in my life, my question was WHY is it taking so long for the manifestation of my deliverance? However, I stood on the promises of God. I knew in the core of my being that I had not been forgotten.” Sister Arlene Peterkin was diagnosed with lupus and arthritis in 1980. Her family was living in Fort Polk Louisiana Army base, where her husband was stationed for approximately four years while she suffered with pain through her entire body. She expressed that any activity, even as simple as holding a drinking glass was difficult. The glass would slide right through her hands. Since she could not hold an object as light weight as a glass, naturally she developed fear of her own young children slipping from her aching arms to hold them. In 1981, while pregnant with her third child, her doctors advised her to abort, because various medical tests results revealed that she would not be able to carry the fetus full term. However, she and her husband refused to accept their reports, and trusted God to bring them through the ordeal successfully. Their unmovable faith strengthened her to carry her daughter full term. After delivery, her miracle daughter underwent a series of tests only to reveal she did not have the disease. Although Sister Arlene was advised to never have another child, they followed the One Who knew much more as Sister Arlene gave birth to three more consecutive healthy babies.Regardless of periodic bouts of the disease going into remission, still, year after year, the pain returned and she continued to take nearly ten pain-killing pills a day per the advice of her doctors…still standing on the Word of God. She reminisces that some days were better than others, and some days she wished she were dead. In 1997, she took a turn for the worst, and was hospitalized for a week. Within that week, she lost 50 pounds, and the doctors sent her home to die. But God said, not so! They continued to believe in God’s healing power.
In the year 2000, she faithfully attended yet another crusade. During the service, while she worshipped, she suddenly felt a heat from the top of her head that exited through the tips of her toes. This is a common feeling she experienced from other crusades and services. Therefore, she paid no attention and continued with her daily medicinal routine. It wasn’t until the strangeness of “normal life” manifested that her husband noticed and joyfully expressed to her that she was healed. He noticed based upon her explanation of how her body was responding in ways she never experienced. One of those observances was waking up dripping in sweat from wearing multiple layers of clothes and blankets that were necessary to keep her body temperature safe for many years. She was totally unaware that she was instantly healed. Since then, she has had no recurrence of lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. Arlene laughs, “Trusting God…regardless of the circumstances, no matter how hard, He will not fail you!”
